Household preferences, scan history, and saved items stay on this device in V1. A barcode lookup sends that barcode to Open Food Facts so we can read the published ingredient list. Pasted or photographed label text is matched on device. AisleSwap does not sell personal data, does not build a medical profile, and does not turn a scan into allergy or safety clearance. Optional cloud sync is off until you configure it.

A barcode lookup sends the barcode to Open Food Facts so the published ingredient list can be read. The ingredient text you paste or confirm from a photo is matched on the device in the iOS app. The browser demo matches text in your browser and does not create an account.

The camera is used to read a barcode or photograph a label. Preview builds do not run on-device text recognition, so a photo is only a reminder while you type the panel. Photos are not uploaded by this version.

Clear local data removes onboarding choices, household profiles, scan history, saved items, and preview-mode purchase state from this device. V1 does not keep a server account. If you later enable sync, email support@aisleswap.com from the same address and ask for deletion.

Optional Supabase sync is not active unless those environment variables are configured later. Until then there is no server account to delete. Email support@aisleswap.com for a question about this policy.
